Since its inception in 1985, Heritage Custom Trailers has become the custom boat trailer supplier of choice for dealers selling high-end freshwater boats throughout the United States and Canada. Heritage trailers have appeared under boats in many different magazine articles and promotional flyers, as well as the product brochures of various component and boat manufacturers.

Unlike some of our competitors, Heritage Custom Trailers started business as a custom boat trailer manufacturer. Our focus has always been to build boat trailers that were custom fitted, painted and striped to match the boats they supported. The local Southern Illinois boat manufacturers provided the base for the early success of Heritage and allows us to grow into our current position as a leader in the custom boat trailer industry. While Heritage isn’t the oldest name in the custom boat trailer business, we have the distinction of being one of the longest continually operating custom trailer manufacturers in the country. In 2001 Heritage received the “Business of the Year” award for recognition as a valued long-term employer in the local community and surrounding country. In 2003 Heritage became one of the first boat trailer manufacturers to be certified by the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM). This certification means that each trailer we produce meets or exceeds the guidelines for recommended minimum manufacturing practices for trailers less than 26,000lbs. GVWR.
